Assessment for Module Three

Personal Practice

1.Continue to keep your personal diary and your reflections on the work on the course and make notes on your own practice as it unfolds.

2. Read and reflect on chapter 3 of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.

3. Continue to read “Being with Dying" and, if you wish move onto Joan Halifax's book "Standing at the Edge"

4. Continue with your practice of mindfulness meditation, perhaps using the resources from Christopher Germer at Dr. Kristin Neff at and Jon Kabat-Zinn on,

5.Continue with your own practice- including gentle, restorative, yin or chair asana practice. Have a look at the video on adapting practice for breast cancer, with Jude Murray

6. Read the Macmillan Publication s about Controlling Cancer Pain, Body Image and Fatigue. PDFs are attached.

Written work

1. Prepare a 45 minute yoga lesson plan For a 1 to 1 lesson using one of the case studies (Maeve, Margaret or Daniel) If you are including relaxation or visualisation exercises or a yoga nidra, please include either: a script of what you plan to say or an audio recording of your relaxation. You can view a demonstration of teaching in a one to one setting on the following videos which were recorded live on the Healing Space residential training in Italy.

Include references to the resources you would use e.g. props or music. A sample lesson plan is attached.

You now move onto the Self-internship component of the course and make arrangements to do the Yoga Nidra immersion with Total Yoga Nidra (if you haven't already done this, or another yoga nidra training)

In total, your total studies, including internship, must be six months from the date you commenced the first module.
