MODULE 1. Creating A Healing Space - Pastoral Skills for Yoga Teachers
Understanding that Teaching is MORE than just Teaching! Module 1 of the Healing Space, Yoga for Cancer online training
Welcome to the Creating A Healing Space online learning module. We are absolutely delighted that you have found your way here. This module forms the first of five core modules which lead to the Healing Space qualification - designed to support and train yoga teachers and therapists who wish to work with people living with cancer, cardiovascular disease, and other serious illness.
Here's Jude with an introduction and special offer!
This module is is a core module for completion of the Healing Space Yoga for Cancer certification. It can also be done as a stand alone course for anybody interested in the art of holding therapeutic space and understanding the - often unacknowledged - role of the yoga teacher in offering pastoral or spiritual care in group or 1 to 1 yoga.
It will also be of interest to those working as body workers or in other embodied disciplines with potentially therapeutic or pastoral outcomes, such as Pilates, dance or Qi Gong.
The full Healing Space of five modules - of which this module is the first - course is accredited by the Complementary Medical Association and Recognised by the Independent Yoga Network as a post graduate qualification for yoga teachers. The stand alone module is certificated for CPD purposes, but not accredited.
